White Otter Castle

In the fifth or sixth year of this century, a bachelor named Jimmy McQuat began building the White Otter Castle on the shores of a magnificent isolated lake north of what is now Atikokan. Over ten years, Jimmy built a four story log building single-handedly from red pine logs. Recent conservation efforts have been completed and for many years this majestic structure will continue to stand guard on the shores of White Otter Lake
