The A.E.K. Bunnell Municipal Park was named after a benefactor who contributed significantly to the planning of Atikokan. Bunnell Park was designated as a Camping Approved Park in 1972 and developed under the Parks Assistance Act of Ontario. The park is maintained and operated by the Township of Atikokan for the enjoyment of residents and the traveling public. The park is equipped with:
- Twenty scenic tent and trailer sites overlooking the Atikokan River.
- Picnic tables.
- Fireplaces and a wood supply.
- Paved road access.
- Electrical hookups and running hot and cold water.
- Wheelchair accessible bathrooms with showers.
- Trailer filling and dumping station.
- A hiking trail to the scenic Little Falls.
